And it fitted with our contemporary style. I thought Colourbrick would go Number One and it turned out really well.” Exclusive to Austral Bricks, the Colourbrick emulsion penetrates bricks and mortar, creating a permanent overall wall colour guaranteed to withstand our harsh climate. Beechwood’s usual team laid the special face quality bricks. Nawkaw, working on behalf of Austral Bricks, carried out the colour application. The process is covered by a limited 25-year warranty. Beechwood’s ‘Concept’ display home is located in Adelaide’s southern foothills on a sloping site. (Beechwood specialise in such sites.) The composite facade blends cedar, render and Colourbrick. Beechwood’s regular team laid the brickwork and Austral Bricks applied the tinting system on site. The display home closed recently but Roger Byass’s enthusiasm for Colourbrick remains. “I would certainly use it again and recommend it. If anyone comes to our display home and says that’s the finish we want, I’d back that up 100 percent. I’d say Colourbrick is a great way of doing it!” |
